Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Ultrasound OB/GYN Technologist, where your expertise in medical imaging and women's health diagnostics will make a meaningful difference in patient care. In this vital role, you will operate advanced ultrasound equipment to perform a variety of obstetric and gynecological scans, including prenatal, gynecological, and ultrasounds. Your proficiency in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will ensure accurate imaging results that support diagnosis and treatment planning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with obstetricians and specialists to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to women at every stage of life.

Duties

Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures such as prenatal ultrasounds, gynecological ultrasounds, breast ultrasounds, abdominal scans, and vascular imaging.
Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and safety protocols during all imaging procedures to maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to obtain comprehensive patient histories and explain procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and understanding.
Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and sharing diagnostic images efficiently.
Operate various medical imaging equipment with precision, including Doppler ultrasound devices for vascular diagnostics and echocardiography machines for cardiac assessments.
Assist in the interpretation of images related to women's health diagnostics, providing preliminary findings that support clinical decision-making.

Experience

Proven experience in performing obstetric (prenatal) ultrasound examinations with a strong understanding of fetal development stages.
Hands-on knowledge of gynecology diagnostics and gynecological ultrasound techniques.
Familiarity with breast ultrasound procedures and women's reproductive health patient care practices.
Demonstrated ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
Experience working within a fast-paced healthcare environment utilizing EMR/EHR systems for documentation.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients about procedures and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals.
