Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily Fanuc control systems, to produce complex parts with precision.
Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify existing programs as needed for production efficiency.
Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to optimize performance.
Conduct quality inspections utilizing coordinate measuring machines (CMM), dial indicators, and other precision tools to verify dimensions.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Skills

Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
Strong blueprint reading skills combined with knowledge of GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
Mechanical aptitude with experience in tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of machining equipment.
Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex part fabrication.
Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for part design review.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately.
Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus for composite component manufacturing.
Understanding of lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
Ability to operate forklifts safely when handling raw materials or finished products.
Willingness to learn welding techniques or assembly procedures as needed for integrated manufacturing tasks.
