Description:

Founded in 1991, IBJI is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI makes it easy to access care. Our headquarters is in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Our clinical services include advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics provide same day care for orthopedic injuries. Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient. In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms.

Job Description:

The Patient Service Representative enhances the team’s effectiveness by representing the company favorably to new and existing clients through stellar client service. This individual will offer critical organizational support to the Business Office team and assist with projects.

This is a crucial position, As the first person to interact with customers and their families either face to face or over the telephone, the experience with the First Impression Coordinators reflects upon the entire company.

Ensures a positive first impression by exhibiting a consistently positive friendly and open demeanor conducive to greeting clients and visitors to the center.
Speaks to and approaches others in a friendly and compassionate way
Continuously exhibits personal integrity and professional initiative; understands the high level of honor required in maintaining client relationships.
Dresses and acts in a professional manner at all times.
Exemplifies our philosophy, culture and values and has a keen understanding of truly stellar service to both external and internal clients.
Maintains the waiting room nourishments and keeps the area clean and tidy
Keeps the families update and asks them if they need anything while they are waiting.

Has Category 2 risk: tasks do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues; but employment may require performing unplanned Category I tasks.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Office equipment, i.e. computers, printers, copy machines, telephones, public address system, and fax machine.

Requirements:

High school diploma or general equivalency degree (EGD)

Two years minimum experience clerical medical office experience

Proficient typing skills (50 wpm)

Preferred:

ASC experience

Microsoft Office Specialist certifications

Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the center’s daily surgery schedule.
