Full Job Description

OKTA Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

Serve as primary technical liaison between identity services and senior IT leadership
Design and implement Okta architecture, workflows, custom connectors, and integration frameworks
Oversee SSO and provisioning integrations for a large application portfolio
Lead incident/problem management with root cause analysis
Drive access governance, compliance, and security certification campaigns
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with offshore teams
Support ITIL-aligned processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Release Management)
Present service metrics and strategic recommendations to executives

Required Qualifications

Technical:

8-10+ years hands-on enterprise IAM experience
Deep expertise in Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, Workflows, Lifecycle Management, APIs)
Experience managing Okta for thousands of users
Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, LDAP
Identity governance: RBAC, access certification, SoD, provisioning
Scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript)

Leadership & Communication:

Exceptional stakeholder management with senior leadership
Strong presentation and executive communication skills
Ability to serve as primary point of contact for critical services
Experience providing technical direction and mentorship

Operational:

ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)
SLA/KPI monitoring and reporting experience
Background in vendor-to-in-house transition projects (preferred)
Experience working with offshore/India-based teams (highly preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Okta certifications (Okta Certified Professional/Administrator)
AWS and/or Azure identity integration experience
ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or CISM certifications
Entertainment/media industry background
Local to LA area with established professional network

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
