About Us

Quintessential Health is a growing hybrid mental health practice headquartered in Warrington, PA. We provide therapy, psychological and psychoeducational testing, and EAP services to a diverse client base, including PA Medicaid members. We're a lean, fast-moving organization where your work directly impacts our ability to serve clients — no getting lost in a corporate billing department.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced behavioral health biller who knows Community Behavioral Health (CBH) billing inside and out — specifically manual claim submission. If you've only ever pushed claims through a clearinghouse, this is not the role for you. If you've lived in the CBH provider portal, worked paper and direct-submission claims, chased down denials, and know the quirks of Philadelphia County Medicaid behavioral health billing, we want to talk to you.

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit claims to CBH via manual/direct submission, ensuring accuracy and timely filing
Bill PA Medicaid (fee-for-service and managed care) for psychological testing, psychoeducational testing, and therapy services
Track, research, and resolve claim denials, rejections, and underpayments; file appeals and resubmissions as needed
Manage prior authorizations and stay current with PA Medicaid utilization management processes (including Qualitrac)
Post payments, reconcile remittances, and maintain clean A/R with regular aging reports to leadership
Verify client eligibility and benefits prior to service
Communicate with CBH provider relations and payer representatives to resolve issues
Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of all client and billing records
Flag process inefficiencies and help us build better billing workflows as we grow

Requirements

2+ years of behavioral health billing experience with CBH (Community Behavioral Health, Philadelphia), including manual claim submission — this is non-negotiable
Working knowledge of PA Medicaid billing rules, behavioral health CPT/HCPCS codes, and timely filing requirements
Experience with denial management and appeals
Must be located within commuting distance of Warrington, PA — this is a hybrid role with occasional in-office days required
Strong attention to detail; comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
Proficiency with EHR/practice management billing systems

Preferred

Experience billing for psychological or psychoeducational testing services
Familiarity with Qualitrac and PA Medicaid prior authorization workflows
Experience in a small or growing practice where you owned the full billing cycle
