CRS is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician with proven, hands-on generator experience to support disaster response and critical infrastructure restoration during an OCONUS deployment in the Pacific Rim. This boots-on-the-ground role installs, wires, commissions, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains generator systems and associated electrical equipment in austere, fast-moving environments. The Journeyman Electrician works closely with field leadership and technical teams to restore and maintain safe, reliable power in direct support of the mission.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, commission, troubleshoot, test, repair, and maintain diesel generator systems, transfer switches, distribution equipment, control panels, batteries, chargers, cabling, and related electrical components.
- Diagnose electrical and generator-system issues, including no-start conditions, voltage or frequency irregularities, overloads, control-panel alarms, battery and charging failures, ATS issues, wiring faults, and fuel-support interfaces.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, daily operational inspections, readiness checks, load testing, routine servicing, and emergency repairs in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer guidance.
- Read and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, service manuals, operating procedures, and technical documentation to complete work safely and correctly.
- Support critical infrastructure restoration by prioritizing generator and electrical repairs, communicating equipment status, and escalating complex issues, parts needs, or safety concerns promptly.
- Work under the technical direction of the Master Electrician or designated field leadership while maintaining ownership of assigned tasks and work quality.
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, maintenance logs, work orders, equipment-status updates, and documentation of repairs, test results, parts usage, and safety observations.
- Maintain strict compliance with lockout/tagout, PPE, job hazard analysis, electrical-safety, fuel-handling, and all site-specific safety and security requirements.
- Maintain a professional, collaborative approach with CRS leadership, client representatives, logistics personnel, and field teams while adapting to changing operational priorities.

Required Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician license, held in the candidate's name and valid in the issuing jurisdiction; candidates must be able to provide license verification upon request.
- Proven, hands-on industrial or commercial generator experience, including installation, wiring, commissioning, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of generator systems and associated electrical equipment.
- Demonstrated field experience in disaster response, emergency restoration, remote deployment, military, utility, industrial, commercial, or similarly demanding environments.
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution, generator controls, automatic transfer switches, control panels, batteries, chargers, cabling, fuel-related interfaces, and applicable electrical-safety practices.
- Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, service manuals, operating procedures, and technical documentation.
- Ability and willingness to deploy for up to 60 days, work 12+ hour shifts, 7 days per week, and remain flexible to changing operational needs.
- Valid U.S. passport with sufficient validity for international travel; United States citizenship is required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable client, site-access, and vehicle-operating requirements.
- Must provide and maintain personal tools appropriate for electrical and generator work, as directed by the project or deployment team.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to document work clearly and communicate technical issues to field leadership.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50+ pounds; stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform manual work for extended periods in high heat, humidity, uneven terrain, and austere field conditions.
- Ability to pass all required pre-employment, client, and deployment screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting disaster response, emergency restoration, remote-site, government, military, or OCONUS operations.
- Experience with load-bank testing, generator paralleling, switchgear, medium-voltage systems, temporary power distribution, or multiple-generator power configurations.
- Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship, advanced generator or power-generation training, OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or comparable electrical-safety training.
- Current tetanus vaccination and Hepatitis A and B vaccinations are strongly preferred for deployment readiness.
- Experience working in tropical, typhoon- or hurricane-impacted, high-heat, remote, or otherwise extreme environments.
Work Environment
This is an OCONUS, field-based deployment role in the Pacific Rim, supporting operations in a typhoon- or hurricane-impacted region. Work is performed in remote and austere conditions and may involve high heat, humidity, tropical weather, insects, wildlife, rain, wind, noise, dust, active equipment, fuel and exhaust, uneven surfaces, damaged infrastructure, and limited access to customary services. The assignment may last up to 8 weeks and requires 12+ hour shifts, 7 days per week. Rapid or immediate deployment may be required. Compensation is provided as a daily rate plus per diem; travel costs, deployment housing, and transportation are provided.
