Position Description:

Under the supervision of the department director, the Respiratory Care Manger is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures.
The Respiratory Care Manager is highly professional and is responsible for operational and administrative oversight of Respiratory Care provided throughout BRH Hospital.
The Respiratory Care Manager is an expert clinical practitioner who is responsible for the implementation and evaluation of clinical procedures and equipment.
The Manger has oversight and responsibility daily operations, program planning/development and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with administration to assure the delivery of high quality, cost-effective care.
The Respiratory Care Manager is expected to develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians and clinical leaders, serve as the administrative point of contact for all internal and external customers and ensure satisfaction of patients, families, staff and physicians.
Responsible for creating an environment of safety conducive to achieving quality outcomes, effective use of resources and retention of quality staff.
The Respiratory Care Manager will provide operational and administrative leadership to Respiratory Care Services employees.
Responsible for the hiring and development of new employees, monitoring their competency and the overall appropriateness of care provided to patients and their families.
The Respiratory Care Manager collaborates with other disciplines on issues related to the effective management of patient care.
The Respiratory Care Manager is an educational resource and coordinates education for multiple clinical affiliates, disciplines within the organization and throughout the community.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Minimum : Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration or Business Administration

Preferred: Master’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Health Care Administration or Business Administration

Work Experience

Minimum: Five (5) years relevant healthcare experience

Preferred: Six (6) years relevant health care experience

Professional Requirements:

o Current California RCP licensure and registration as a RRT.

o Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.

o Current BCLS certification. ACLS preferred

o Five years of experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services is required.

Pay: $73,572.00 - $98,586.00 per year
