Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) – Columbus, OH

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a contract assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This opportunity is ideal for imaging professionals with strong experience in Interventional Radiology procedures, vascular interventions, venous access, angiography, and image-guided procedures within an acute care environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and advanced practice providers while performing complex interventional procedures and ensuring exceptional patient care and safety.

Pay Package

Pay Rate: Up to $82/hour
Weekly Gross: Up to $3,280/week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Assignment Details

Location: Columbus, OH
Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech)
Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Interventional Radiology
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Shift: Days
Schedule: 4x10-Hour Shifts
Shift Time: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Call Requirement: Yes
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during a variety of interventional radiology procedures
Operate Siemens imaging equipment and maintain image quality standards
Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for scheduled cases
Support vascular access procedures, angiography studies, and image-guided interventions
Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
Maintain accurate procedural documentation and imaging records
Utilize PACS and Epic systems for imaging workflow and documentation
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
Participate in on-call rotation as required

Central Venous Access and Port Placement
PICC Line Procedures and Maintenance
Angioplasty and Stent Placement
Embolization Procedures
IVC Filter Placement
Mesenteric Angiography
Paracentesis and Thoracentesis
Dialysis Access Interventions
Thrombolysis and Thrombectomy
TIPS Procedures
Nephrostomy and Biliary Drainage Procedures
Gastrostomy Tube Placement
Peripheral and Vascular Interventions
Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography

Requirements

ARRT (R) Certification required
BLS Certification required
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
Previous IR experience required
Epic experience required
Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
Strong understanding of vascular and image-guided procedures
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment

Preferred Qualifications

Community Hospital or Trauma experience
Experience with C-Arm and Biopsy procedures
Experience with outpatient and ICU patient populations
Previous travel experience
