Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the church's ministry and operations
- Deliver engaging and inspiring sermons during worship services
- Provide pastoral care and support to congregation members, including counseling, visitations, and bereavement support
- Mentor and guide individuals in their spiritual growth and development
- Develop and implement programs to educate and equip the congregation for ministry
- Lead and facilitate meetings, including church board meetings and committee meetings
- Manage church staff and volunteers, providing leadership and guidance
- Serve as a representative of the church in the community, building relationships and fostering partnerships
- Provide crisis management and conflict resolution when necessary
Skills:
- Excellent public speaking skills to effectively communicate biblical teachings and inspire the congregation
- Knowledge of hospice care principles to provide support to individuals and families facing end-of-life situations
- Strong writing skills to create sermons, articles, and other written materials
- Ability to mentor individuals in their spiritual journey, providing guidance and support
- Proficient in bereavement support techniques to assist those experiencing loss and grief
- Strong leadership skills to lead the church community with vision and direction
- Ability to educate others on biblical principles and teachings
- Effective crisis management skills to handle challenging situations with grace and wisdom
- Conflict management skills to address conflicts within the congregation in a constructive manner
