Unified Community Services is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to support the agency’s financial operations. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll and accounts payable/receivable, preparing reports, and supporting purchasing activities.
The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and public service.
Benefit Position: 80 hours bi-weekly; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Starting Pay: $24.08 per hour
Minimum Qualifications
- Two-year Associate Degree in Accounting
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Knowledge of governmental accounting
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with the Finance Manager, co-workers, county staff, and vendors
- Professionalism when working with agency staff and outside partners
