About Us
Widmeier Landscaping is a growing landscaping and hardscape company specializing in high-end outdoor living spaces throughout the Dubuque area. We build patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, concrete projects, and complete landscape installations. We're looking for an experienced Landscaping Foreman who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, leads by example, and enjoys working alongside a professional crew.
Position Overview
As a Landscaping Foreman, you will oversee daily job site operations while working hands-on with the crew. You will be responsible for maintaining quality workmanship, keeping projects on schedule, ensuring a safe work environment, and communicating with management and customers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a landscaping and hardscape crew
- Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure projects stay on schedule
- Install patios, walkways, and other paver hardscapes
- Build retaining walls using block and natural stone
- Perform concrete work including sidewalks, driveways, patios, and slabs
- Install trees, shrubs, mulch, edging, and other landscape materials
- Grade and prepare job sites
- Operate skid loaders, mini excavators, compactors, and other construction equipment
- Read and follow landscape plans and construction drawings
- Train crew members and maintain high-quality workmanship
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in landscaping, hardscaping, concrete, or construction
- Previous experience leading a crew or serving as a foreman is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of paver installation, retaining walls, grading, and landscape installation
- Ability to read plans and solve problems in the field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Reliable, dependable, and self-motivated
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL is a plus but not required
