Staff Accountant

Dyersville, IA | In-Office
$45,000–$70,000/year, based on experience

What You'll Do

As a Staff Accountant, you'll work with our team and clients across a variety of accounting and tax services, including:

Prepare individual and business tax returns
Perform bookkeeping and monthly accounting
Prepare financial statements and financial reports
Complete account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
Record payroll-related and general ledger entries
Maintain accurate client financial records and chart of accounts
Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer questions
Assist with tax planning and year-end accounting projects
Work with the BAC team to keep projects moving and meet deadlines
Take on additional responsibilities and more complex work as your skills and experience grow

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and wants to continue growing professionally.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of accounting experience preferred, but not required
Recent accounting graduates with relevant internship or work experience are encouraged to apply
Public accounting and tax preparation experience is a plus
CPA or interest in pursuing the CPA designation is a plus, but not required
QuickBooks experience is a plus
Strong organizational and communication skills
Comfortable working directly with clients
Dependable and willing to take ownership of your work
Eager to learn, ask questions, and continue developing your skills
Positive, team-oriented attitude
