Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler plays a key role in building premium windows and doors from start to finish, ensuring each product meets strict quality standards. This role involves working from production lists and written instructions, selecting the correct materials, and using a variety of hand and power tools to complete mechanical assembly tasks. You will support a fast-paced production environment by maintaining accuracy, identifying issues early, and collaborating with team members to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities

Perform window and door assembly operations from start to finish according to standard work, control plans, and written work instructions.

Read and follow production lists to determine required tasks, materials, and sequence of assembly.

Identify and select proper materials for each product and stage of the assembly process.

Inspect each phase of the assembly process to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

Advise team members and supervisors of material shortages, quality issues, or other concerns that may affect production.

Use hand and power tools, including drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, and sanders, safely and effectively as part of the assembly process.

Measure components accurately using a tape measure to ensure correct fit and alignment.

Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and materials.

Support general production and labor tasks as needed to maintain workflow and meet production goals.

Work collaboratively with other team members in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Lift and move materials and finished products weighing 50 pounds or more as required during assembly.
Essential Skills

Experience in assembly, production, or general labor environments, preferably involving mechanical assembly.

Proficiency using hand tools and power tools such as drills, screw guns, nail and staple guns, chop saws, routers, and sanders.

Ability to read and interpret production lists and follow written work instructions.

Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to work from measurements and specifications.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

Basic reading and math skills sufficient to follow instructions and perform measurements.

Capability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.

Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or HSED.

Experience in construction, manufacturing, or mechanical work is beneficial.

Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and power tools in a production environment.

Ability to maintain focus and quality throughout repetitive tasks.

Willingness to follow safety and dress code guidelines, including appropriate footwear and hair restraints when applicable.

Work Environment
This is a high-volume manufacturing environment focused on producing premium windows that are sold directly to dealers and homeowners rather than through retail stores. The facility operates primarily on a Monday–Thursday schedule with two main shifts: a first shift from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and a second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Occasional work on Fridays may be scheduled as a half or full day, with notice provided early in the week. Employees receive two twelve-minute breaks and one thirty-minute lunch break during their shift. The plant is not air conditioned and can become hot, which contributes to a flexible dress code. Steel-toed shoes are required, and clothing must be appropriate, but employees may wear shorts, t-shirts, and similar casual attire. Individuals with long hair must wear it secured in a ponytail or bun to maintain safety around machinery and tools. The environment involves regular use of hand and power tools, movement of materials, and collaboration with a large workforce.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
