Paralegal / In-House Attorney

Job Overview

Hopkins Management Group is seeking a detail-oriented legal professional to support the company’s in-house legal operations. This role is open to both experienced paralegals and licensed attorneys who can assist leadership with contracts, compliance, collections matters, litigation support, and legal research.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple legal matters simultaneously, and comfortable working directly with company leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Contract & Legal Document Management

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
Prepare and organize legal documentation and filings
Maintain accurate legal records and documentation systems

Litigation & Compliance Support

Coordinate with outside counsel on active litigation matters
Monitor legal deadlines, court dates, and filing requirements
Support collections-related legal actions, including demand letters and escalations
Conduct legal research and summarize findings for leadership
Assist with ensuring company compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Advisory & Administrative Support

Advise leadership on legal risks and recommended courses of action
Communicate with internal departments regarding legal matters
Manage multiple legal projects and priorities simultaneously

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Paralegal certificate or Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree, or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or paralegal role
Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with litigation support, collections law, or consumer finance
Experience with legal management software
Tennessee Bar admission preferred for attorney candidates
