Full Job Description

Position Summary

The HR/Recruiting Intern will support the Recruiting team with the hiring process by assisting with candidate communication, interview scheduling, recruiting coordination, and onboarding activities. This position offers practical experience recruiting skilled trades and field employees while working alongside HR professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Responsibilities

Recruiting Support

Assist the Lead Recruiter with day-to-day recruiting activities.
Conduct initial phone screens for entry-level and field positions.
Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
Manage interview calendars using Microsoft Outlook.
Send interview confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications.

Candidate Communication

Serve as a professional point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process.
Respond to candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate with hiring managers regarding interview scheduling and candidate availability.
Maintain recruiting trackers and candidate records.

Onboarding Support

Track the status of background checks and pre-employment requirements.
Assist with onboarding activities in Paycom.
Follow up with candidates regarding outstanding onboarding tasks.
Prepare onboarding communications and assist with new hire documentation.

Administrative Support

Maintain accurate recruiting and onboarding records.
Assist with recruiting reports and special projects.
Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
