Overview
Join our compassionate team as a Hospice Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator, where you will serve as a vital source of spiritual support, comfort, and guidance for patients, families, and staff navigating the challenges of end-of-life care. This dynamic role combines spiritual counseling, bereavement support, and community engagement to foster healing and hope. You will lead educational initiatives, facilitate grief support groups, and provide crisis intervention to ensure holistic care that honors each individual's spiritual needs. Responsibilities

Provide spiritual care and Christian counseling tailored to diverse patient and family needs within hospice settings.
Lead bereavement support programs, including one-on-one counseling and group sessions that help individuals process grief healthily.
Develop and deliver educational presentations on topics related to hospice care, grief management, and spiritual wellness for community groups and healthcare teams.
Serve as a public speaker at community events to raise awareness about hospice services and bereavement resources.
Coordinate and plan memorial services, grief workshops, and outreach events that foster connection and healing.
Offer crisis intervention during emergencies or sudden losses, providing immediate emotional support and guidance.
Mentor staff members by sharing expertise in crisis management, conflict resolution, and effective communication strategies to enhance team cohesion.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hospice care or related healthcare environments with a strong foundation in bereavement support.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with skills in teaching, mentoring, and public speaking.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to present complex topics clearly and compassionately.
Strong event planning capabilities for organizing workshops, memorials, or community outreach activities.
Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques, conflict management, and crisis management strategies.
Background in Christian counseling or spiritual caregiving preferred; certification or training in grief counseling is a plus.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism, and cultural competence.
