Terch & Associates is supporting Cloquet Sanitary Services in a search for a Customer Billing Specialist to join a growing team!

Company Introduction

Cloquet Sanitary Services is a third-generation, family-owned business that has served the city of Cloquet and surrounding areas for over 55 years, with a longstanding commitment to keeping neighborhoods clean and safe. As the company continues to grow, it is seeking to add a new specialist to its team. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service, can demonstrate strong critical thinking and verbal communication, maintain close attention to detail, and consistently follow through on tasks.

Position Summary

The Customer Billing Specialist provides front-line support to customers by phone and email; coordinates with drivers, sales, and management to meet customer expectations; processes orders accurately and on time; and supports billing using industry-specific software. The role requires professionalism, responsiveness, and adaptability in a growing environment.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. (32 hours/week)

Compensation: Position starts between $24-$26 per hour. Employees are considered full-time and receive the company’s full comprehensive benefits package.

Job Duties

Receive and process incoming calls and emails from customers
Collaborate with the drivers, sales team, and management to deliver on customer expectations
Identify and resolve customer issues in a timely manner, including missed pick-ups and service-related issues
Provide service and pricing recommendations to new and existing customers
Manage difficult customer situations and respond promptly to service requests to meet customer commitments
Process orders accurately and in a timely manner, and demonstrate excellent follow-through on assignments and inquiries
Able to deal with frequent changes in the work environment throughout company expansion
Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience & Abilities

1+ years of professional business experience
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet all deadlines with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
Strong technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to a code of conduct
College degree in accounting or business administration is a plus

Physical Demands

Interacts with the public when accepting physical payments
Sitting for extended periods of time
Maintains a clean work environment

Job Specifics

Training will be provided on industry-specific software for billing and route management. As part of the company’s commitment to your success, office managers and company leadership will work closely with you to ensure you have the tools, support, and resources needed to thrive in your role and deliver exceptional service to customers.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
