Job Overview

We're Looking for a Event Rental Season Closers to wrap up the season with a bang! (August, September, some of October).

Full time, Part time, Weekends - anything really...

Event Rental Season Closer

Otherwise known as: Professional Tent Wrangler, Trailer Tetris Champion, Event Problem Solver, and Occasional Rain-Dodger.

Do you think sitting behind a desk all day sounds terrible?

Does a perfectly strapped trailer make you oddly satisfied?

Can you solve problems with a little sweat, a good attitude, and maybe a ratchet strap?

If so, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

At Doucette's Party & Tent Rental, no two days are the same. One day you're building a 30' wide frame tent for a beautiful wedding. The next you're setting up inflatables for hundreds of excited kids or helping create the backdrop for one of the Northland's biggest festivals.

It's hard work. It's rewarding work. And at the end of the day, you can actually point at something you built and say, "I helped make that happen."

Your Daily Adventures Might Include:

Turning an empty field into an unforgettable event.
Playing real-life Tetris by loading trucks and trailers so everything fits perfectly (and stays there).
Driving company trucks and trailers to event sites—or learning how! If you've never backed a trailer before but are eager to learn, we'll teach you. If you already know how to back one into a tight space, we'll probably think you're a wizard.
Getting paid to work out instead of paying for a gym membership.
Building tents, hauling tables, arranging chairs, and making event spaces come to life
Working alongside an awesome crew that knows how to laugh while getting the job done.
Outsmarting Minnesota weather because events don't stop for a little rain
Solving last-minute challenges with a cool head and a positive attitude
One day you might be in Ashland WI, the next you may be in Ely MN. We go wherever the parties are
Stake pounding contest with you coworkers

What You Bring to the Team:

You show up when you say you will
You're willing to work hard and stay active
You don't mind getting dirty once in a while
You enjoy working with a team and helping others
You pay attention to the little details because they matter
Truck and trailer experience is a huge plus—but if you're willing to learn, we'll invest in teaching you
Leadership experience is great, but it isn't required. We love promoting dependable people who take initiative, and it's not uncommon for motivated crew members to step into Crew Lead roles much sooner than they expected
