ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a BIOMEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our BIOMED EQUIPMENT SERVICES team!

Salary Range: $21.42 - $31.06 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly

Performs safe and proper installation, maintenance, safety testing and repair of clinical and non-clinical equipment. Works with Biomedical Specialist on sophisticated, highly technical critical and/or complex equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience with data visualization and spreadsheets. Knowledge of personal computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentations. Understand and follow complex oral and written instructions; prioritize work responsibilities efficiently; exercise good judgment and accept personal responsibilities; demonstrate the skills to work with co-workers and communicate changes or ideas effectively (written and oral); ability to complete work in an accurate and timely fashion while facing stressful deadlines.

READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with avariety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
