Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union (MPECU) is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative (MSR) to join our energetic and friendly team! This position offers steady weekday hours and no weekend shifts — allowing you to enjoy a healthy work/life balance.

As a credit union deeply rooted in the community, we live by the philosophy of people helping people. MPECU supports our employees' efforts to give back through volunteerism and community involvement.

Responsibilities:

As a Member Service Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for our members — both in-person and over the phone. Key duties include:

Processing transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, official checks, money orders, wire transfers)
Opening new accounts, completing account maintenance, and closing accounts as needed
Assisting members with general questions and account inquiries
Promoting and cross-selling credit union products and services that benefit members
Ensuring compliance with credit union policies and federal regulations
Delivering friendly, accurate, and professional customer service
We have 3 offices. You may be expected to work at any of our office locations as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic cash handling experience
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to learn and follow financial regulations and procedures
High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

Previous experience in a bank or credit union
Bilingual communication skills (a plus)
