Job Description
The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is seeking a full-time Science Coordinator II . This is a state position governed by the Civil Service Rules, in state go vernmen t located in Oklahoma City, OK. OMMA offers a comprehensive benefits packet, including a generous benefit allowance to offset the cost of insurance premiums for employees and their eligible dependents. The annual salary for this position is up to $65,000 based on education and experience.

The Science Coordinator II position provides administrative, operational, and communications support for the Science Department, assisting with scheduling, records, purchasing, travel, onboarding, and departmental correspondence. The role also coordinates with internal and external partners to support licensing communications, vendor management, fiscal processes, IT needs, and open records requests.
Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions
Plans and schedules meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and recording minutes as needed.
Maintains office supply inventory and places replenishment orders when necessary.
Organizes and maintains departmental files and records.
Communicates with licensed entities, which includes official correspondence, information requests, and inspection updates.
Coordinates with vendors to obtain quotes, manage purchasing, coordinate deliveries, and arrange on-site appointments.
Supports routine fiscal and purchasing activities, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations in accordance with state procedures.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience in business or public administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of technical administrative experience for each year of the required bachelor's degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of the methods of organization and management; of public administration; of agency policies and procedures; of grant or contract program requirements; of the legislative process; of basic research and statistical techniques; of federal and state laws and regulations relating to administration of assigned programs; and of supervisory principles and practices.
Ability is required to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; to establish and develop training programs; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions; and to organize and present facts and opinions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is typically performed in an office setting with a climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires long period of sitting and daily use of computer and phone.
