Full Job Description

Are you a highly experienced, self-starting CNC Machinist? Are you experienced in Fanuc? Mazatrol would be a huge plus!

Condustrial, Inc located at 51 Concourse Way, Greer, SC, 29650 has the position for you. This position however is located in Roebuck, SC.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill & Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read complex blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Set up and run CNC vertical/horizontal mills and lathes to perform tasks such as turning, facing, drilling, and milling.
Setup & Calibration: Load parts, install tooling, and set offsets. Perform "first article" inspections to ensure the machine is dialed in correctly.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, job folders, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols to understand part specifications.
Quality Control: Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges) to verify that parts meet quality standards.
Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance (e.g., checking coolant levels, clearing chips) and alert maintenance teams to mechanical issues.
Process Optimization: Monitor machine performance and adjust speeds/feeds as necessary to maintain efficiency and tool life.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3-5 years of experience operating CNC Mills and Lathes in a production environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with controls such as Fanuc and Mazatrol
Math Skills: Strong understanding of shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [50] lbs.
Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with various cutting tools, inserts, and material properties (Aluminum, Steel, Titanium, etc.).

Preferred Skills (The "Bonus" List)

Experience with manual mills or lathes.
Ability to perform basic G-code editing at the controller.
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
Formal vocational training or NIMS certification.
