Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Blown Film Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blown film extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic films used across various industries. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, uphold safety standards, and maintain product quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment, where your skills in plastics extrusion and machinery operation will drive success.

Duties

Set up, operate, and monitor blown film extrusion lines to produce consistent, high-quality plastic films. Bag machine, printing, and winder experience required.
Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and speed using programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize production output.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and fabrication tools to ensure proper functioning. Able to set up production orders to specifications.
Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers to verify film thickness, width, and surface quality.
Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load raw materials and move finished products.
Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and quality documentation for traceability and continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly with maintenance using hand tools and mechanical knowledge to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Skills

Strong understanding of plastics Blown Film Extrusion with operator experience along with bag machines, printing, and winding.
Ability to work in a team enviroment and have people skills required.
Ability to perform quality inspections accurately using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
Forklift operation experience for safe handling of materials.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and process adjustments in a manufacturing setting.
