Food Service Director
Salaried: $60,000- $64,000 annually (depending on experience)
Equivalent Hourly: $28.85- $30.77
Shift: Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift, occasional weekend and evenings

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental performance
- Supervise meal production and service to ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and served according to resident dietary needs
- Develop menus, maintain standardized recipes, manage inventory, and monitor food and supply costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, OSHA requirements, infection control practices, and facility policies
- Educate, mentor, and support dietary staff while fostering a positive and engaging work environment
- Maintain equipment, temperature logs, safety records, and departmental documentation
- Address resident concerns and grievances related to dietary services and ensure timely resolution
- Participate in facility surveys, quality improvement initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Provide leadership and direction during emergency situations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education requirement: Completion of a Dietary Management Certificate Course; Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum experience requirement: 3 years of Food Service Management experience; 5 years preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary operations, inventory management, and budgeting
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team development skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and resident-centered care
