Position Title: HR and Payroll Manager
Job Type: Part-time
Location: In-person in Durango, Colorado
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of payroll administration, ensuring accurate processing through systems such as Workday and Dynafile.
- Manage talent acquisition efforts by developing sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, and coordinating onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Lead employee orientation programs and training & development initiatives to promote continuous learning and engagement.
- Supervise HR teams responsible for employee relations, performance management, employee misconduct investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, FMLA regulations, Workers' Compensation policies, and HR legal requirements.
- Implement process improvements in HR workflows and program management to increase efficiency and effectiveness across HR functions.
- Conduct strategic planning for human capital management, including succession planning and organization design to support long-term business objectives.
Skills
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven experience in supervising HR teams and managing human resources projects from inception to completion.
- Expertise in HR sourcing, recruiting strategies, and talent management practices.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Deep knowledge of employment law in talent management, employee relations management, and HR compliance standards.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems such as Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, UltiPro or Kronos; data analysis skills are essential for reporting and decision-making.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while demonstrating strategic thinking in HR leadership roles.
- Skilled in change management initiatives aimed at process improvement and organizational development.
