$18 -$20 per hour
The Industrial Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and complaint manufacturing environment. In this position, you will be responsible for sanitation procedures across production areas and ensuring adherence to safety quality standards. Develop skills in industrial cleaning, chemical handling and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) compliance in a fast-paced production and manufacturing setting.

The Industrial Sanitation Technician will be expected to consistently deliver outstanding outcomes in the following areas:

Facility Sanitation and Housekeeping
Perform cleaning, sanitation, and custodial duties throughout the facility, including production equipment, machinery, utensils, food-contact surfaces, production floors, warehouses, administrative offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas in accordance with established sanitation, cleaning, and food safety standards

Equipment Cleaning & Inspection
Inspect, clean, sanitize, and, when required, assist with the disassembly and reassembly of production equipment. Verify cleanliness before, during, and after sanitation activities and identify equipment damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns that could impact operations or food safety.
- Chemical Handling & Safety
Prepare, mix, label, handle, store, and dispose of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS), manufacturer instructions, Company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Safe Operation of Equipment
Safely operate sanitation equipment and cleaning tools, including hoses, pressure washers, vacuums, floor scrubbers, and other specialized equipment, while consistently utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Maintain compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), allergen control procedures, HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and Company policies to support a safe, compliant, and audit-ready manufacturing environment.
- Documentation & Communication
Accurately complete sanitation records, inspection checklists, chemical logs, and other required documentation. Promptly communicate sanitation deficiencies, maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or food safety risks to leadership. -
Inventory and Supply Management
Maintain adequate inventories of sanitation chemicals, cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment. Request replenishment of supplies as needed to support uninterrupted sanitation operations. -
Operational Support
Support production, warehouse, maintenance, and other operational departments as assigned while maintaining cleanliness, organization, safety, and quality standards throughout the facility.
- Documentation & Communication
Accurately complete sanitation records, inspection checklists, chemical logs, and other required documentation. Promptly communicate sanitation deficiencies, maintenance concerns, equipment issues, or food safety risks to leadership. -
Food Safety Culture
Promote a culture of food safety by identifying potential risks, following sanitation best practices, taking personal responsibility for maintaining a clean, safe, and audit-ready manufacturing environment, and supporting the Company's commitment to product quality and regulatory compliance.
This role requires maintaining a sanitary production environment through the proper use of cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Proven experience in industrial cleaning, commercial cleaning, or custodial roles within manufacturing or food processing environments.

Knowledge of chemical agent handling and chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.

Ability to safely operate sanitation and janitorial equipment, including floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and related cleaning tools.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.

Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Familiarity with GMP standards and sanitation protocols specific to food production or manufacturing industries.

Prior warehouse or custodial experience is a plus for supporting overall facility maintenance efforts

Factory environment with moving conveyors, machinery, tables, carts, racks, regular coworker interaction.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and maneuver safely around factory equipment and shelving.

Frequently lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; push and/or pull wheeled carts or racks up to 200 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach away from the body and above waist level, and grasp small objects safely.

Must follow hygiene, sanitation, safety, GMP, and food-safety requirements at all times.
