Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team, committed to enhancing patient independence and quality of life through expert therapeutic interventions. In this role, you will assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans across diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, geriatrics, and community-based environments. Your expertise will support patients with a wide range of conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders, disabilities, post-acute care needs, and occupational health concerns. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping individuals achieve their personal and functional goals through evidence-based occupational therapy practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional needs.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with patient goals, medical conditions, and evidence-based practices.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, nurses, educators and case managers—to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition home or to other care settings through education and skill development.
Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with clinical standards and legal requirements.
Provide specialized interventions for populations such as children with autism spectrum disorders, students with disabilities, individuals in early intervention programs, or those in occupational health or geriatrics settings.

Qualifications

Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist in accordance with state or national regulations.
Proven experience working across multiple environments including inpatient acute care units, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health settings.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and clinical assessment tools used in occupational therapy.
Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder or other disabilities.
Skilled in developing treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and client-centered goals.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health record (EHR) management systems.
