Full Job Description

DaVinci Resolve + Claude AI required · Remotion a plus (we'll train the right person)

BlueForest Studios is hiring a freelance video producer for a 3-month engagement to support our editorial and motion-graphics workload across corporate and educational video projects.

This is not a traditional editor role. We work AI-first. You'll use Claude as an active collaborator throughout your workflow — for asset organization, timeline structure, and (with our training) motion graphics via Remotion. If you already drive Claude / Claude Code hands-on, you're who we're looking for.

About BlueForest Studios

We're a Raleigh, NC-based video production company with 17 years of experience producing corporate marketing videos and internal communications for our clients — sales enablement videos, executive messaging, training and onboarding content, brand stories, and educational explainers. We're building a studio that operates on better systems, and AI is central to that.

What you'll do

Edit corporate and educational video projects in DaVinci Resolve Studio, using Claude-assisted workflows for media organization, marker management, and timeline structure.
Build motion graphics in Remotion (we'll train you), using Claude to generate code for templates, lower thirds, animated typography, and educational explainer sequences.
Collaborate with our creative director on project scope, pacing, and brand consistency.
Document your workflows so the team can replicate them.

Required experience (no exceptions)

Hands-on DaVinci Resolve editing. Strong sense of pacing, story structure, and corporate / educational video conventions.
Verifiable Claude / Claude Code (or Claude Desktop) experience. You can use Claude to build a website, create and manage a git repo, organize local files, and generate working code. You'll be asked to show proof — public GitHub repos, a deployed site, and a short screen-recording of your workflow.
Comfort working with Google Sheets-based asset lists and structured production data.
Able to work an Eastern Time schedule for meetings; fluent English.

Nice to have (not required — we'll train)

Remotion (React video framework) — a real plus, but we'll train a strong editor who has the Resolve + Claude foundation.
BRAW and Blackmagic camera workflows.
Familiarity with Streamtime, HubSpot, or similar production tools.
Background in trade-show, event, or experiential marketing video content.

How we verify

Because the Claude workflow is core to this role, shortlisted candidates complete a short, low-key screen-share or screen-recording (2–4 min) showing them using Claude Code on a real task — spinning up a small site, initializing a git repo, organizing files. It's quick, and it's the best way for both of us to confirm fit.

Hours: 15–25 per week
Rate: $40 / hour
Duration: 3-month contract, potential to extend
Location: Remote-friendly. Editors in the Raleigh / Triangle area are strongly preferred; we'll also consider remote candidates nationwide who are fluent in English and can work an Eastern Time schedule for meetings.
