Full Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and fashion-savvy Resale Store Buyer/Keyholder to join our team. This role is essential in selecting high-quality second-hand merchandise that aligns with our store’s aesthetic and customer demand. You will be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and purchasing pre-owned items at a very fast pace, while maintaining a strong understanding of market trends and resale values. Training is provided.

Some weekends and evenings required.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and purchase second-hand clothing, accessories, and other resale items based on store guidelines.
Maintain knowledge of current fashion trends, popular brands and style categories to ensure competitive and desirable inventory.
Utilize proprietary software to ensure accurate pricing techniques to maximize profitability and ensure fair valuations for customers.
Communicate effectively with sellers and customers regarding buying policies and pricing decisions.
Collaborate with sales associates and store management to curate an appealing product selection.
Ensure the intake and storage of purchased items are organized and efficiently processed for sales floor display.
Support customer inquiries regarding buying processes and resale value education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in resale, consignment, retail buying, or fashion merchandising preferred.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating product condition, resale value, and pricing strategies.
Passion for sustainable fashion and second-hand shopping.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in inventory management systems is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
