As our catering business continues to grow, we are excited to add a Catering Operations Closer ("COC") — a critical part-time role that helps ensure every day ends strong and the next day starts smoothly.

The COC is the afternoon and evening backstop for our Catering Team. This person helps close out the day by ensuring prep is complete, orders are accurate, deliveries are handled, evening events are taken care of, equipment is recovered, and the shop is organized and ready for the following morning. The COC also plays a critical role in managing any last-minute catering needs for the next day — reviewing incoming orders, identifying additions or changes, and helping ensure all prep, product, packaging, and materials are in place so the team can execute confidently the following day.

The Catering Operations Closer Will...

Finish the day strong and ensure the Catering Team is fully set up for tomorrow
Check all prep work, box prep, labeling, and staging to confirm nothing is missing from any order
Support afternoon and evening catering execution with urgency and care
Help complete end-of-day deliveries
Pick up catering equipment from earlier deliveries or events
Support event execution when needed, including serving at late afternoon or evening catering events
Monitor and help address any last-minute catering additions, changes, or next-day needs
Prepare and stage anything needed so the team can execute the following day without delays
Anticipate tomorrow’s operational needs and proactively fill in any gaps before leaving
Keep the catering walk-in cooler, prep spaces, paper goods, and storage areas organized and stocked
Identify anything incomplete, missing, or out of place and proactively solve it
Review check lists and calendars to be sure all food/drink is prepared in the walk-in
Review next-day catering orders for additions, adjustments, or last-minute requests
Confirm product, packaging, supplies, and support materials are ready for next-day execution
Help bridge communication between closing operations and morning production
Double check all orders for complete accuracy before delivery or pick up
Support hot food prep, beverage prep, sandwich prep, and finishing other tasks as needed

Catering Team Member Required Qualifications

Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must have open availability including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and some evenings
Valid Driver’s License
Vehicle with adequate space for deliveries of various sizes
High school diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Can stand for long periods of time during shift
