For 19 years, we’ve proudly provided 5-star, white glove pet care to pets and their people throughout North Raleigh. While we take our responsibilities seriously, this is also rewarding, enjoyable work and a great way to earn supplemental part-time income doing something meaningful.
Location Requirement
Applicants must live in one of the following zip codes: 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615
This role involves frequent local travel, typically within a 1–7 mile radius of your home. It is not suitable for commuting outside of these areas.
Availability Needed
We are currently hiring pet sitters/dog walkers with consistent availability throughout the week during one or more of these peak service windows:
- 7:00–9:30 AM
- 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
- 4:00–7:00 PM
- 8:00–9:30 PM
- Optional: Overnight pet care from 9pm to 7am
Please note: This is not traditional “shift work.” Visit schedules and the number of visits vary daily based on client demand. Most caregivers are available for multiple time windows throughout the week.

What You'll Do
Visits are typically 30–45 minutes and may include some or all of the following:
- Dog walking and pet playtime
- Feeding pets and refreshing water
- Cleaning litter boxes and pet waste cleanup
- Administering medications as needed
- Light home care (mail, packages, trash, plants, lights/blinds)
- Sending client fun updates about their pets and pet photos through our pet care app
Candidate Requirements
- Age 21+
- Must be a resident of 27609, 27612, 27613, or 27615
- Reliable, personally owned vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Smartphone with data plan
- Ability to walk dogs for 20–50 minutes and lift 30–50 lbs
- Excellent reliability, communication, and attention to detail
- Professional, responsive, and nurturing with clients and pets
- Consistent weekly availability and some weekend/holiday availability
- Minimum 12-month commitment (not seasonal or summer-only work)

Pay: $16.50 - $22.50 per hour

Application Question(s):
- Do you have a current, valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and very reliable vehicle you have anytime access to.? You must have all 3 to be considered.
- Do you have a smartphone with unlimited data plan with ability to download our pet sitting app, and access to a printer for occasional use?
- The compensation range for is $300-800+--is this what you are hoping for? The income earned is dependent on individual client needs as well as the skill set and availability of pet sitter / walker.
- Are you available for year round pet sitting and dog walking? Are you able to commit to this position for upwards of 12 months or longer? This is not seasonal work.
- Pet sitting has great demand during spring, summer and all major holidays. Will you have part time availability during these times especially for July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas this year?
- Our peak visit times are 7-9:30am, 10am-3pm, 4-7pm and 8-10pm, Mon thru Sunday. List the days and times you are consistently available (doesn't vary week to week).
- Are you able to provide overnight pet care (9pm to 7am) 0-6 times a month in our client's clean, comfortable, non-smoking homes. We have a growing demand and the compensation is very good. This is not a requirement.
- If hired, you'll need to provide proof you are at least 21 yo, have both a current driver's license and auto insurance. We will run a criminal background and DMV check and contact your professional references. We may need to contact you via phone, text, email and possibly by Zoom virtual meetings. Do you understand and agree to this?
- Tell us about recent professional (paid) or volunteer pet care experience you have with dogs and cats. What types/sizes of dogs and age ranges of dogs and cats have you cared for? What of the following meds do you have experience administering: ear,s eyes, injections, topical, pilling (putting pill in pet's mouth and rubbing throat), oral liquid syringe, asthma inhaler (cats).
- Tell us about your current/most recent pet you are/were 100% responsible for its daily care and expenses, and what you enjoy most about being a pet parent.
