Superior Fence & Rail of the Hudson Valley is an industry leader seeking full-time a CARPENTER - LEAD FENCE INSTALLER for immediate hire.
Superior Fence and Rail is the largest fence installer in the country with 110 offices. The Hudson Valley location is growing quickly and looking to hire a competent lead fence installer to specialize in building custom wood fences.
Work consists of building all types of fence including vinyl, aluminum, wood and chain-link. Pay ranges from $22.00 - $28.00 per hour - paid weekly, depending on experience and performance in addition to overtime. Work hours are from 6:50am – 5:00pm Monday - Thursday, and 6:45am - 12:00pm on Friday as needed.

Job Responsibilities for the Working Lead Fence Installer Position:
- Be extremely competent in wood fence installation.
- Be competent in installing vinyl, wood, aluminum and chainlink.
- Manage the job site to ensure a quality and aesthetically pleasing fence is installed to Company Quality Standards
- Supervise installation crew while working alongside the installers to ensure installation, administration, and safety procedures are being followed
- Ensure crew provides constant professionalism to our customers
- Learn the company handbook and be able to effectively answer questions from your installers
- Learn, adopt, and implement Superior Fence & Rail's structured installation process
- Ensure all materials loaded for a job are the correct product and quantity based on provided diagram and packing list for each job
- Verify all fence is placed correctly on the property in relation to the property line
- Use company procedures to effectively manage any errors encountered on a job site
- Use company procedures to effectively manage all job site changes, errors, and unforeseen complications professionally and efficiently
- Willingness to infrequently stay 1 to 2 nights in a hotel near job site for large projects with a long drive time
- Must be able to drive both flatbeds and trailers.

Minimum requirements to apply:
- Must be able to immediately install a fence with little to no supervision
- 3 year of carpentry experience
- 3 year of Lead/Supervisor experience
- Possess Valid Drivers License, Reliable transportation, and must have a driving record without DUIs or moving violations.
- Take a background check AND drug test
- Physically Fit for heavy lifting and working in the heat, cold, and rain.
- Must be able to: Read job orders, Work Unsupervised, Follow Written/Verbal Instructions, Follow Worker’s Comp. Procedures for Onsite Injuries, Drive Truck/Trailer, Obey and Enforce all Safety, Administrative, DOT, and Installation Policies and Procedures.
