Full Job Description

Primera Technology, Inc. is a highly respected designer and manufacturer of specialized digital color printing equipment. With more than 40 years of success, Primera is known for engineering excellence, innovation, and pride of craftsmanship.

We are seeking an Electrical / Electronic Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of complex electronic systems for Primera’s specialty printing products. This is a hands-on role working closely with a small, cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers. All work is done in person at our location in Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities

· Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits

· Create schematics and PCB layouts

· Design and implement FPGA-based solutions

· State machines for motor control, inkjet firing, processors, etc.

· Memory systems, DMA, communication interfaces, watchdog logic, timers, etc.

· Perform EMC testing and support compliance efforts

· Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for the electrical design

· Support manufacturing and production as needed

· Troubleshoot complex electrical issues at the component level

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

· Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems. Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Good understanding of mechanics, firmware, and software

· Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines

· Altium PCB and Xilinx PGA experience a plus
