Compensation

Range of $20.30–$27.46 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Pastry Production: Prepare large quantities of baked goods including cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and specialty desserts for events of varying size.
Recipe Execution: Follow traditional and modern recipes to ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation.
Presentation & Displays: Create decorative dessert displays and ensure all pastries are presented professionally and creatively.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain compliance with Boise Centre standards and all local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
Workstation Management: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to accommodate special requests and support event needs.
Inventory Support: Assist with monitoring bakery inventory and supplies to support efficient production.

Requirements:

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum of 2 years of baking or culinary experience.
ServSafe or Idaho Food Handlers certification required.
Strong understanding of baking techniques, temperature control, and kitchen operations.
Experience with specialty baking including gluten-free and alternative dietary options preferred.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Dependable, professional, and self-motivated.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in warm kitchen environments for extended periods.
Flexibility to work irregular hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
