Blossom & Vine is a Southern-rooted, European-inspired full-service flower shop specializing in lush, garden-style floral arrangements, beautiful houseplants, and a thoughtfully curated selection of gifts. We also offer fun, hands-on floral design classes designed to spark creativity. Our goal is simple: to be your special place to find beauty, inspiration, and joy. Launched in 2024 in Johns Creek, Georgia, Blossom & Vine is expanding with a second location opening in Easley, South Carolina, in Q3 2026.
Job Summary
We’re looking for a talented, passionate Floral Designer to create stunning, natural arrangements that reflect our signature garden-style aesthetic. You will design for everyday customers, weddings, events, and corporate clients while helping maintain the beautiful, welcoming atmosphere of the store. The Floral Designer is also responsible for making and caring for plant arrangements and performing various other store operations functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and create fresh floral arrangements, bouquets, and installations with a focus on garden-style, romantic, and elevated designs.
- Deliver excellent customer service: consult with customers to understand their vision and recommend appropriate flowers, colors, and styles.
- Prepare and fulfill daily floral orders, sympathy pieces, wedding work, and event installations.
- Maintain high standards of freshness, quality, and presentation.
- Assist with store merchandising, seasonal displays, and visual appeal.
- Help facilitate and teach floral design classes.
- Work collaboratively with the Floral Lead, Store Manager and team to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assist with plant care and creative plant arrangements as needed.
- Perform routine store operations functions including greeting and assisting customers, taking phone orders, performing ‘Open’ and ‘Close’ checklists, maintaining the coolers and floral supplies, processing flower shipments, taking customer orders and checking customers out on the POS.
- Perform occasional driver duties including floral deliveries and inventory pickups.
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years of professional floral design experience.
- Strong creative eye and ability to design in a natural, garden-style aesthetic.
- Knowledge of flower varieties, care, and handling.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure, especially during peak seasons (holidays, weddings).
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and handle delicate materials.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work onsite for event and wedding installations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings (for classes), weekends (Saturdays), holidays, and peak seasons.
- Ability to safely operate a delivery van and make floral deliveries.
- Floral design certification or formal training is a plus.
- Plant arranging experience with knowledge of varieties, care, and arrangement techniques is a plus.
