Full Job Description

The Reformed Church Home, a distinguished Five-Star nonprofit Skilled Nursing Facility, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our leadership team. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to provide administrative oversight, accountability, and leadership for all nursing staff functions. You will assume the responsibilities of the DON in their absence and play an integral part in mentoring staff, promoting clinical excellence, and ensuring the highest standards of resident care.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position working five eight-hour shifts per week.
Includes every other weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to oversee nursing staff functions, ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance.
Serve as acting DON in the Director’s absence.
Provide hands-on clinical support and guidance to unit managers and nursing staff.
Ensure seamless unit operations in the absence of a unit manager.
Oversee and enhance the nursing department’s new hire orientation process.
Participate in a shared on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems and healthcare software.
Strong knowledge of case management principles.
Current IV Certification and BLS Certification preferred.
Experience with MDS (Minimum Data Set) is preferred.
A commitment to mentoring, staff development, and continuous learning.
