Full Job Description

About Us:

We are growing manufacturing company specializing in high-precision automotive components. With a focus on low-volume production runs and prototype development, we take pride in our attention to detail, flexibility, and technical capabilities. Our current equipment includes two 5-axis Doosan machines with Fanuc controls, two 3-axis machines (Fanuc/Fadal), a CNC lathe (Fagor), and a 9-axis mill-turn center scheduled to become operational in Q1 2026. We currently use BobCAD for programming and are transitioning into MasterCAM to support increasingly complex projects.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Operator with a strong background in multi-axis programming and hands-on machining. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, be proficient in CAD/CAM software (BobCAD and MasterCAM preferred), and be comfortable working in a dynamic, small-shop environment. This position requires both programming and operating responsibilities, with a focus on small production runs and prototyping.

Key Responsibilities:

Program CNC machines (3-axis, 5-axis, lathe, and future 9-axis mill-turn) using BobCAD and MasterCAM.
FANUC control experience required.
Set up and operate CNC equipment for precision manufacturing of automotive components.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
Optimize machining strategies for efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and design intent.
Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain and organize tools, fixtures, and documentation.
Support the transition to MasterCAM and train team members as needed.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
Proficient in BobCAD; experience with MasterCAM strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with Fanuc controls and 5-axis machining required.
Experience with small production runs and prototype part development.
Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, feeds/speeds, and workholding.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience with 9-axis or mill-turn centers.
Automotive industry background.
CAM post-processor customization or macro writing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
