Full Job Description

CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer

Pay: Competitive Pay + Benefits + Overtime Opportunities

Are you an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer who thrives in a precision manufacturing environment?

We're looking for an experienced professional to program, set up, and operate Citizen and Star Swiss-style CNC machines while producing high-quality components with extremely tight tolerances.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $50/hour dependent on experience level

What You'll Do

Program, set up, and run Citizen and Star Swiss CNC lathes
Create and modify programs offline using Esprit CAM software
Operate and monitor 2–3 machines simultaneously
Manufacture precision components ranging from .032"diameter while holding tolerances as tight as ±.0002"
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
Use precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maximize efficiency and quality
Maintain production standards in a fast-paced, high-precision environment

What We're Looking For

Hands-on experience programming and operating Citizen and Star Swiss CNC machines
Strong proficiency with Esprit CAM software
Ability to independently set up and run multiple machines
Strong blueprint-reading and GD&T interpretation skills\
Experience using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools
Proven ability to maintain extremely tight tolerances in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of experience operating and programming Citizen and Star Swiss CNC lathes.
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds, feeds, and inspection techniques.
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to inspect small precision components and operate machine controls safely.
