About TMAD:

Teriyaki Madness is a fast-casual Asian grill chain known for it’s customizable, freshly made-to-order bowls with protein options of chicken, steak, salmon, or tofu, that can be paired with veggies, rice, noodles, topping it off with some insanely bold and flavorful sauces. About the Role:

As a Restaurant Line Cook, you are an important component of our team and the heart of our kitchen. You are responsible for creating food with passion, service with heart and ambiance with pride. As a Cook for our team, you will have the opportunity to embrace a central role in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Executes consistent excellence in food preparation, always observing safety protocols and cleanliness standards, set up of equipment, and verification of stock.
Prepares simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
Prepare a variety of dishes accurately and quickly based on incoming orders, utilizing a wok and/or grill.
Completes all assigned prep work as required.
Sets up work station according to station diagram.
Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during and after shift.
Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
Stocking inventory and supplies.
Performing all Back of House responsibilities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification (required).
Culinary school or relevant culinary training is a plus.
Must have prior experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant setting.
Food Handlers Card from the New York Department of Health or ServSafe Food Handlers Certification or able to obtain within days of employment (required).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Aptitude for multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment while working any line station.
Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently as a team.
Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as business dictates.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.

Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
