Direct Support Professional (Live-In)

Relationship-Based Team Leadership Environment

$15/hour | 40 hours/week

FREE room & board (includes housing, food, and utilities valued up to $36K/year) in a private space within a 4,000 sq ft community home

Branching Tree is seeking experienced, reliable Direct Support Professionals to support young adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, including individuals with high support needs. This is a live-in, relationship-based role within a structured residential setting focused on stability, dignity, and meaningful daily living.

THE ROLE

DSPs are part of a small, coordinated household team supporting three adults with IDD, alongside a House Manager and another DSP.

This role requires confidence in providing hands-on direct support, including personal care, emotional regulation support, and behavioral support within a consistent, structured home environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful, long-term residential experience in disability services.

Start Date: June 2026
Commitment: 1 year
Reports To: High Spirit Community Farm (Licensing Agency)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide direct support to young adults with IDD and high support needs in all areas of daily living
Deliver hands-on assistance with personal care, hygiene, meals, bedtime routines, and community participation
Support emotional regulation and behavioral needs using calm, consistent, person-centered approaches
Build respectful, reliable relationships with residents aligned with ISP goals
Maintain a safe, structured, and predictable home environment
Collaborate closely with House Manager and DSP team to ensure continuity of care
Follow all safety, emergency, and medication administration policies and procedures
Support community access, recreation, and social engagement
Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing team development

WHO YOU ARE

Experience supporting individuals with autism/IDD, including high support needs
Comfortable providing direct personal care in a residential setting
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team-based care model
Calm, consistent, and dependable under pressure
Skilled at building trust and maintaining professional, respectful relationships
Committed to person-centered support and long-term stability in residential care
