Full Job Description

BEST Engineered Surface Technologies (BEST) is focused on being an early adopter of advanced coating and finishing technologies by identifying innovative solutions and adapting them to meet our customers' unique needs while enhancing the performance characteristics of their parts and components.

BEST is changing the industry standard by bringing together geographically diverse operations with specialized processing capabilities under a single organization. Through our divisions, Teknicote, Medicote, and Diamonex, we provide customers with a broad range of technologies, expertise, and solutions across numerous industries and applications.

By integrating these divisions into the BEST family, we are able to leverage the strengths of each operation while continuing to expand our capabilities and support our growing customer base with adaptable technologies that address complex design and material challenges.

The Controller serves as the senior financial and administrative leader of BEST Engineered Surface Technologies, LLC and is responsible for the overall financial, operational, and administrative support of the organization. Reporting directly to the President, this position provides strategic leadership for the Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, and Information Technology functions while ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance activities.

The Controller partners closely with the executive leadership team to develop financial strategies that drive profitable growth, improve operational performance, and support sound business decisions across all divisions of the organization. This individual will also play a key role in aligning processes, resources, and systems to support the continued growth and long-term success of BEST.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Planning

Budget Development
Monthly Forecasting
Strategic Financial Analysis
Capital Investments

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Oversee the month-end/year-end close process
Consolidate Financials
Final review/Sign-off of financials
Ensure GAAP compliance
Reporting to lenders & ownership
Ensure accurate inventory valuation

Daily Cash Management

Review cash position
Short-term/Long-term cash forecast
Disbursement approvals

Oversee IT

Oversee IT Budget
Set Strategic Priorities
Oversee Vendor Contracts
Technology Roadmap
Risk Management
ERP (E2)

Oversee HR

Annual Salary Planning

Analyze profitability by job, item and customer

Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

Serve as a member of the Executive Management Team
Work close with operational managers to achieve company goals

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA or Master’s Preferred
10+ years progressive accounting experience
5+ years Experience in manufacturing with job costing, inventory valuation
Experience in multi-site environment
