Laundry Aide

The Laundry Aide provides laundry services that provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualified Laundry Aide's should be motivated team-players who are passionate about working with seniors in an environment of Respect and Joy! Bring your customer service excellence and join the Rivers of Grosse Pointe Woods to become part of our passionate and innovative Environmental Services team! Our Mission is to be a premier health and rehabilitation center by exceeding the expectations of our Residents, Families of Residents, and Employees.

Responsibilities:

Sorts, washes, dries, folds and irons linens and resident clothing
Stocks linen closets and carts for nursing units, and returns linen barrels to the laundry
Delivers clean linen and resident clothing to rooms
Performs routine equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior housekeeping experience in an institutional setting preferred
Previous experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population preferred
Must possess outstanding communication skills and be able to follow oral and written instructions
