Full Job Description

Our behavior technicians work one-on-one with our clients and students implementing behavior intervention plans and teaching procedures developed by our senior therapists and directors. Previous experience in ABA is not required but preferred. All of our behavior technicians complete a 40-hour online training and competencies to sit for the Registered Behavior Technician exam, which is a national certification through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.

This is an incredibly rewarding position, but also occasionally intense; however, we provide support from lead technicians, senior therapists, and directors, who are all on-site every day to assist when needed.

We are a fun and laidback team that is looking for full- or part-time technicians. Our hours of operation are 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, and all shifts are at our clinic in Eau Claire. There are weekly staff meetings (required) and weekly research meetings (optional). Part-time staff are expected to work 2-4 days for at least 4-6 hours and to be "on call" for 6 hours (for example, Wednesdays 7am-1pm or Thursdays 12pm-6pm) a week.

Requirements of the Position:

Be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma
Eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to successfully pass a caregiver background check
Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crawl, run, and perform any other movements required to model and engage in play and learning activities with children.
Ability to lift and/or carry children up to 50 pounds as needed to provide care, as well as aid in emergency situations, if needed
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Experience working with and caring for children who are not their own
Willingness to work with children and families from a variety of backgrounds and abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Behavior Technician certification (required within 3 months of hire)
Fieldwork or practicum/internship experience working with children with ASD
Interest in conducting applied research
CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 1 month of hire)
Member of the Wisconsin Childcare Registry (required within 1 month of hire)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 35 per week
