About Us
JS Products (JSP), a market leader in tool innovation, is seeking a Menards Sales Analyst to join our retail sales organization. This is a key onsite role that partners with our Sales, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams to support the Menards sales operation through forecasting, replenishment, planning, and analysis. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with strong coordination, planning, and analytical skills and a genuine passion for improving existing processes and systems. Excellent communication, technical proficiency, the ability to balance short- to medium-term priorities, and exceptional multitasking skills are essential.
Position Summary
As the Menards Sales Analyst, you will serve as JSP's onsite liaison to Menards, working closely with both organizations to optimize forecasting and replenishment in order to maximize sales, profit, and inventory flow. You will own the forecasting and replenishment of JSP's items across Menards' Distribution Centers (DCs) and stores — reviewing sales forecasts, placing and editing orders, resolving DC and store inquiries, and following up on open orders. Because most of the programs and applications required for this role are accessible only onsite, this position works in the Menards OnSite office during normal business hours (Monday–Friday).
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting & Planning
- Collect and analyze sales data to identify trends and drive accurate forecasting.
- Work directly with the Menards Analyst to develop and execute plans for optimal inventory levels, adjusting as conditions change.
- Ensure forecast accuracy within the replenishment system and recommend forecasting changes when needed.
Inventory Replenishment & Order Management
- Review and generate replenishment orders weekly for stores and DCs, flowing inventory as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain accurate SKU/store setup, including minimums and correct stocking locations.
- Track purchase orders to ensure product arrives on time and in correct quantities, proactively communicating any supply chain disruptions to the Menards team.
- Monitor past-due orders and backorders and communicate updated due dates and production schedules.
- Partner with JSP Supply Chain Planners and JSP Logistics to facilitate timely, accurate order fulfillment.
Stores & SKUs
- Create new store orders that maintain correct inventory for sales and display quantities.
- Set up forecasts for new SKUs and verify all SKU/store combinations are configured correctly.
- Coordinate to answer store questions within 24 hours and track opening orders to ensure complete, on-time delivery.
Analysis & Reporting
- Develop recommendations to drive sales opportunities, improve margins, and increase inventory turns.
- Monitor exception reports and set and monitor SKU replenishment standards and status.
- Hold weekly or bi-weekly meetings with the Menards Analyst, distributing an agenda in advance and meeting minutes with action items. Prepare monthly reports summarizing completed months, the causes and effects of results, and changes made.
Relationship Management
- Act as the liaison between JSP and Menards, maintaining effective working relationships to ensure timely problem resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Complete complex projects while meeting objectives and timelines and achieving positive financial results for both Menards and JSP.
Systems & Tools
You will learn to navigate and interpret data within a range of Menards and JSP applications, like MSI (MicroStrategy), GAINS, SKU & PO Manager, ERP system, Microsoft applications ( Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint)
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, with three or more years of relevant experience in sales and inventory analysis.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
- Proven problem-solving, attention to detail, coordination, and expediting skills.
- Creative thinking to develop and support sales and inventory performance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information in an easily understood manner.
- Proficiency with forecasting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to high-quality work.
