The machinist shall work under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) and manual machinery to fabricate tooling, jigs, and parts.
The machinist will be responsible for measurement and validation of their parts, equipment cleaning and maintenance, requesting supplies and overall machine shop organization and cleanliness.
Machinist also responsible with material inventory under AXERP system.

Duties include:

· 2.1 Operates CNC machines including Mill, & lathe, and input CAM programs.

· 2.2 Operates manual machines such as mill, lathe, & surface grinder

· 2.3 Utilize measuring tools such as micrometer, caliper, and gauges

· 2.4 Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

· 2.5 Reads and interprets part drawings

· 2.6 Uses gauges, measuring instruments, inspection tools to meet specific tolerance requirements

· 2.7 Recognizes, deploys and proper uses of cutting tools, fixtures and tooling

· 2.8 Maintains equipment and ensures work area is clean and safe at all times

· 2.9 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

· 2.10 Authority to accept part/s that are conforming to drawing specification. Reject if not.

· 2.11 Authority to reject or repair part/s with visual abnormality.

· 2.12 Participates in collegial planning for policies, procedures and systems, problem solving and performance monitoring through participation in standing and ad hoc committees, task forces and project teams.

· 2.13 Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and / or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
