LifeConnections is currently looking for a Shared Living Home Care Provider in the Cape and Islands Region!
Annual Stipend: $52K-$60K/Year - Tax Free!!!
Client Description:
This individual would like to live in Cape Cod/Plymouth Area. He enjoys music, especially hard rock. He enjoys playing pool, going to the movies, going to concerts, animals, playing chess, and cribbage. He also enjoys being out in the community and exploring free local events. He thrives when he has a consistent, healthy routine. He would like to be treated with respect and dignity. Though he is a man of few words, it does not mean he doesn't understand. He needs time to respond or may not respond at all. It is essential to ensure that he fully understands the information being presented to him. He would prefer not to have a lot of stairs, small dogs, or small children in the home. He would love to live with someone positive, has a good sense of humor and is motivated to support him to be successful and live life to the fullest. Experience working with Individuals with disabilities is preferred.
What’s involved?
As a Shared Living Home Care Provider, you will provide a safe and comfortable home for an adult with a developmental disability to live their best life, support them with tasks such as but not limited to, meal preparation, medication administration, transportation to and from medical appointments, socialization, participation in the community and other daily living tasks and activities.
Can I Still Have a Day Job?
Yes, and many people do as most individuals we serve receive staffed day support out in the community with outside staff (Monday through Friday).
What if I Need a Break?
Home Care Providers will have access to respite support, so you can go still to that wedding… take a weekend off or just go visit your family, with adequate notice when possible.
Do I Get Training & Support?
LifeConnections provides extensive training and on-going support, including monthly home visits and the availability of agency staff to guide and assist providers with any issues that might arise.
Where is there a Need?
We are looking for a Shared Living Home Care Provider in the Cape Cod / Plymouth Region!
What are the Hiring Requirements?
- An Extra, private bedroom in your home
- A Safe Home Inspection
- High School Diploma or GED
- Auto/Home/Renters Insurance
- Valid driver's license & 18+ years of age
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks.
