Mechanical Engineer (Built, Not Just Schooled)

We’re not looking for the most degrees on a résumé.

We're looking for someone who's been taking things apart and putting them back together better for as long as they can remember.

If that’s you, keep reading. If not…this probably isn’t the role for you.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis. This position will provide immediate engineering support across product development, manufacturing and ongoing projects.

This isn’t a desk-only engineering role. You’ll design it—but you’ll also help build it, troubleshoot it, refine it and make it work better in the real world.

For the right person, this temporary position may have the opportunity to develop into a permanent role based on performance, capabilities, business needs and overall fit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design and create precise CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing products

· Collaborate with engineering, machining, welding and fabrication to solve real-world challenges

· Document parts and assembly processes to ensure clarity and consistency in production

· Support hands-on fabrication, mechanical and engineering projects as needed

· Analyze current manufacturing programs to improve workflow, reduce waste and increase efficiency

· Support the implementation and operation of 3D scanning and other new technologies

· Apply knowledge of flow dynamics and practical manufacturing methods to improve performance and manufacturability

· Participate in product testing, troubleshooting and continuous refinement

· Help identify practical solutions to production and engineering challenges as they arise

· Complete required engineering, project and production documentation accurately and on time

A degree can teach you engineering. We’re looking for someone who can DO engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field, OR equivalent hands-on engineering, design and manufacturing experience

· Demonstrated experience in a design or mechanical engineering role; manufacturing environment strongly preferred

· Proficiency in CAD, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar software

· Strong understanding of flow dynamics

· Hands-on manufacturing experience — this is not optional

· Experience with 3D scanning technologies is a plus

· Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage priorities and see projects through to completion

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Clear written and verbal communication skills

· Willingness and ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, not just behind a desk
