Cabinet Designer / Sales Specialist

We are looking for a motivated Cabinet Designer / Sales Specialist to help clients bring their custom cabinetry projects to life. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys design, problem-solving, relationship building, and working in a hands-on shop environment where every project is unique.
Responsibilities:
- Work with new and existing clients to understand their needs, style, budget, and project goals
- Create and present custom cabinet design solutions that are functional, attractive, and tailored to each client
- Identify sales opportunities and help meet or exceed sales goals
- Provide product knowledge, design guidance, and technical support throughout the sales process
- Prepare and deliver clear client presentations, estimates, and project recommendations
- Stay informed on cabinet design trends, materials, finishes, hardware, and competitor offerings
- Collaborate with shop staff, internal teams, contractors, and customers to support successful project completion
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, sales activity, and project details
- Assist with budgeting, pricing, and cost estimates for custom design projects
Qualifications:
- Experience in cabinet design, custom woodworking, interior design, sales, or a related field preferred
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Ability to guide clients through design options with confidence and creativity
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret measurements, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with Cabinet Vision, Microsoft Office Suite, and related design software preferred
- Understanding of design development, budgeting, and project coordination
- Self-motivated, organized, and driven to deliver excellent results
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field preferred; CAD coursework is a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred
- Portfolio or work samples that show design ability and creativity are encouraged
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
