Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As the Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, building and developing your support team, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and providing exceptional patient care.

Duties:

- Oversees department personnel, schedules, develops, counsels, trains and directs department personnel. Makes recommendations for hiring, promotion and termination to the regional pharmacy supervisor. Drafts and delivers employee performance reviews.

- Pharmacist in Charge of compliance. Acts as the Pharmacist in Charge, as a point of contact for regulatory, legal, third party insurance companies, and audit situations. Monitors pharmacy to ensure complete legal compliance.

- Maintain and Dispense OTC and Prescription medications. Oversees and participates in the prescription medication dispensing and inventory management. Assists with OTC merchandising and management.

- Provides and ensures prompt and courteous member service. Counsels patients on proper medication usage. Responds to patient concerns using problem solving skills, tact and discretion. Preserves patient confidentiality.

- Ensures proper pharmacy product handling and record keeping standards. Observes employee performance and checks paperwork to ensure that proper department production, record keeping and product storage procedures and standards are followed.

- This is a full time salaried position - 45+ hours a week.

Experience:

- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the state of Minnesota.

- APhA immunization certification.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively counsel patients on medication usage.

- Strong ability to leverage market opportunities to drive the business.

- Prior pharmacy manager experience encouraged, but not required.
