Job Description

As a Security Officer Certified Armed Patrol Driver in Weslaco, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol professional at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, disorderly conduct, and/or unauthorized access while maintaining a professional presence.
Assist with security-related responses involving alarms, suspicious activity, trespassing, and/or emergency situations while following post orders and local procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
